Benjamin Acosta-Hughes es profesor de griego y latín en la Ohio State University, y profesor asociado externo de la Università di Roma Tre y de la Università di Piemonte Orientale Vercelli. Realizó su doctorado en la Universidad de California (1995). Sus áreas de interés son la poesía helenística y la literatura griega. Ha editado los volúmenes Labored in Papyrus Leaves: Perspectives on an Epigram Collection Attributed to Posidippus (2004), Brill’s Companion to Callimachus (2011), Homère Revisité: Parodie et humour dans les réécritures homériques (2011), Euphorion de Chalcis. Les Fragments (2012), The Door Ajar. False Closure in Greek and Roman Literature and Art (2013), Hellenistic Literature and Culture. Studies in Honor of Susan A. Stephens (2024).
